Short-Term Disability Income:a0 a0 "Paycheck Protectae", our newest plan, is designeda0to provide UK Staff an income when you cannot work due to an illness or off-the-job injury.a0 Faculty are not eligible for this benefit (clicka0HEREa0if you are faculty).a0The plan also covers disability resulting from child birth (if the birth occurs 10 months after the Effective Date of Coverage) and mental illness. Plan A has a 14-Day Elimination Period, and Plan B has a 30-Day Elimination Period. Both plans pay benefits up to 6 months if your doctor requires you to be off work.
Universal Life Insurance:a0Available for employees, their spouses, and children/grandchildren (max. issue age is 65).a0Guaranteed coverage is available during Open Enrollment, but coverage purchased in the last two (2) years will offset the amounts below:
- $150,000 for employee
- $50,000 for working spouse
- $10,000 for non-working spouse
- $20,000 for dependent children, 0-18 years old

Pet insurance has been great! We have dogs that are like family and we don't want to worry about deciding if we can afford a medical procedure if needed.
